Jim Press, President, Chrysler LLC, to Speak at September 2 MPG Luncheon

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Motor Press Guild (MPG),
America's largest professional automotive media association, will host Jim
Press, vice chairman, president and member of the board of directors, Chrysler
LLC, as the distinguished speaker at its September 2, 2008 meeting. Press
will discuss his first year at Chrysler and walk attendees through the
company's plan for future success amidst a tough domestic automotive
marketplace. This month's event will be held in the Tuskegee Room on the
southeast end of the Proud Bird Restaurant near LAX.
Press joined Chrysler LLC as vice chairman and president in September
2007, and is responsible for North American sales, international sales, global
marketing, product strategy and service and parts. Prior to joining Chrysler,
Press was president and chief operating officer of Toyota Motor North America
Inc. and a senior managing director of the parent company, Toyota Motor
Corporation. Press was the first international automotive executive elected
to chair the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, the industry's top trade
group, and served as chairman for a second time during 2006. He has received
the "Distinguished Service Citation Award" from the Automotive Hall of Fame.
